Excellent response at the 4th Automation Network Forum |

The Automation Network Forum is now an important regional personality among the specialised events in the automation industry. Its importance was underlined by the numbers of visitors who attended the trade congress on 25th June this year. The title for this year's one-day forum "Safe and Reliable Software" attracted 60 participants, which is the highest number so far. This shows that the general theme was both exciting and topical. "When software fails, this jeopardises the operation of vital infrastructures. However, the central control systems of nuclear power stations and railways are not the only systems which rely on the use of software. |
Cars also now contain a variety of electronic components which require the correct software. And in medical technology, the health of the patient now depends on the reliability and fault tolerance of software more often than one can imagine." said Managing Director Dr. Wolfgang Brendel in his introduction to the congress programme. Record attendance at the trade congress under the title "Safe and Reliable Software" on 25th June 2009Speakers from commerce and industry including Siemens AG, Baumüller and Hamilton Bonaduz AG, one of the world's leading manufacturers |
vof analysers for laboratory automation, and even the visualisation experts, Iconics, took part with specialist talks about the latest technologies and trends, solutions and example applications. Peter Henkel from Henkel Consulting acted as the congress moderator. During the breaks, the congress participants found enough time to share their experiences and to network with others. |
