infoteam celebrates 25 years innovation in automation

The day before, 24 July 2008, marks the start of the third International Automation Network Forum, which will feature presentations and seminars given by experts from renowned companies and research organisations. The event promises two days jam-packed with exciting presentations showcasing the very latest technology solutions. Experts from a variety of specialist sectors, speakers from companies at the very forefront of the industrial automation and medical engineering sectors, as well as from power supply and distribution, will provide insights into their fascinating projects. This international event will bring together representatives from science and industry. infoteam Software initiated the idea of and founded Automation Networks, providing a platform combining the strengths of numerous small companies competing on the international automation market and a forum for information exchange and co-operation, along with an opportunity to make the most of cross-border synergies. Infoteam will be kicking off its anniversary celebrations with a grand gala starting at 2 o’clock on 25 July at the company’s premises in Bubenreuth. Invited guests in attendance on the big day will include MdB Stefan Müller (member of the German parliament), MdL Christa Matschl (member of the regional parliament) and Eberhard Irlinger, chief executive of the Erlangen-Höchstadt district, who will be giving a speech to open proceedings. Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Joachim Scheja, dean of the Faculty Informatics, Georg-Simon-Ohm University of Applied Sciences at Nuremberg, will speak on “The role of software in our society”. The theme for the entertainment is "Andalucian Nights" and the treats in store include a pyrotechnics display and flamenco dancing. Visitors will be able to take a tour of the company’s site, watch a football match battled out between teams of robots or take a look at the “People” exhibition of photographs featuring infoteam employees. The best photographs will be awarded and published in a calendar in 2009.
