infoteam Software exhibits system solutions and reference applications regarding the claim „Software – safe & reliable“ at this year’s SPS/IPC/Drives from November 25th until 27th in hall 7a, booth no. 130.
Safe and reliable software is no rocket science but solid engineering work. This will be demonstrated in a showcase on medical technology equipment using their product SmartPLC Redundant.
Trade visitors will be given hands-on-experience - they get the chance to intervene and try for a system breakdown themselves.
Further high lights for the expert public at infoteam’s booth:
„System breakdowns mean additonal costs. Software has to run safe and at high-availability – this is mandatory especially for safety critical industries“, so Dr. Wolfgang Brendel, Managing Director of infoteam Software GmbH. „Our software is implemented in medical analysis and diagnostics devices. Shutdowns can be life threatening.“
Product information on SmartPLC Redundant:
infoteam’s SmartPLC Redundant supports flexible distributed I/O configurations based on switched fieldbus architectures. This allows for better availability than traditional dual and triple redundant architectures. At the same time, this flexibility requires redundancy only where it is needed, providing a more attractive solution than traditional one-size-fits-all architectures. The level of fault-tolerance can be tailored to match the needs of the application by mixing and matching single, dual and triple redundancy in the same system. It comes with a standard plug & play approach to functionality such as synchronization of variables, redundant I/O bus control, program equivalence testing, selection of master CPU, automatic failover and advanced diagnostics.
Additional benefits of the hot backup redundancy software include a wide range of supported microcontrollers for any required CPU performance, fault tolerant I/O communications and automatic program download.
