infoteam Software puts impact on usability and unique product design

infoteam Software announces the new release of their programming system OpenPCS 2010 just in time for the international trade show SPS/IPC/Drives (Nov 24-26). The product combines reliable and safe functionality ideally with improved user-friendly GUI. The graphical user interface is based on the innovative Microsoft® Office Fluent™ user interface. Its unique functionality makes it easy to handle especially for the unexperienced user. This enhancement gives the IEC 61131 programming system a significant head-start in the automation business.

Ergonomic aspects are becoming increasingly important in the field of software development for industry automation or for medical devices for diagnosis and analysis. The user has to comprehend the functionality quickly and be able to use it easily.

„We understand that our customers see interaction design as the crucial topic for the market success of their products. User-friendly and comfortable handling should complement the original product benefit. Our customers set great store on this“, explains Dr. Wolfgang Brendel, Managing Director of infoteam Software GmbH. „It is one thing that software needs to run reliable and fail-safe. OpenPCS 2010 stands for the new generation of usability. The programming system combines easy application handling and usability with appealing product design and a high level of reliability. The message of infoteam Software can be embraced with three words: „simply . pretty . usable .“

• Online edit during RUN – software changes while the system is running
• Simulation via Hot Swap Layer possible
• Multi-target support: OpenPCS supports several controls
• Native code compiler wird
• Extended OEM framework e.g. active document server, OPC browser with DCOM, network configuration and support of MS Office and OEM libraries

At SPS/IPC/Drives in Nuremberg the new software will be presented on November 25 at 5.20pm in hall 8.
