Motion & Logic Integrated

Seamless integration of drive and control system is essential. This is particularly apparent in the example of a plastic injection moulding machine running only on electricity. Unlike conventional setups the entire closing force is produced by the electric drive.

A critical element here is the timing of the individual processes with regard to the extremely short time frame during which the main drive holds the mould closed under full load with the motor at a standstill and plastic injection takes place.
