SmartPLC/OPC SoftPLC

Specification

The infoteam SmartPLC/OPC is a Soft-PLC (programmable logic controller) for Windows XP or XPe(mbedded), executing the IEC 61131-3 code from the “infoteam OpenPCS Automation Suite”. Access to distributed I/O modules will be supplied by one standard communication port, the OPC (OLE for Process Control) port.

SmartPLC includes all functions, function blocks, instructions, data types and runtime features as documented in the compliance statement. Online features supported include download, upload, remote control, variable watching, variable modification, program status display.

Native Code Compiler

NCC is an unique optimising compiler to generate micro¬pro-cessor specific direct binary code format for highest performance requirements, which yields very high execution efficiency.

OPC-server providing all global data to other OPC-clients like HMI and SCADA systems for display and graphical user interface.

Controller Performance

Performance and resources required strongly depend on the controller and hardware used. Typical execution speed on a Pentium II/300MHz for 1K mixed instruction set is 14µs per 1k IL. All measurements with respective native code compiler option installed.

Online & Debug Features

The debugging tool transfers user code to the SmartPLC, controls stop, cold start, warm and hot start, monitors and modifies variable contents, program structure etc.
