Evaluation of Project

Discussion of possible solutions by considering current implementtations and identification of the pros and cons of different possibilities. Conclusions and how to proceed

Benefits

You will…
  • get technical insight into the principles of OpenPCS
  • have a step by step introduction on how to port SmartPLC Runtime System
  • discuss alternatives and elaborate solutions
  • draft working packages
  • obtain a Developers Manual

Objective & Method

Based on your requirements and the principles of IEC 61131-3 the participants will assess how OpenPCS will be used for the intended project.

The group will also prepare draft-working packages. These results will serve as a basis for further decisions on how to proceed.

A thorough introduction to the methods and interfaces gives technical insight into the implementation principles of OpenPCS. Practical experiments with an on-site installation of an OpenPCS implementation will deliver the basics for the discussion of different alternatives and the sketch of a solution.
