Requirements

To successfully provide this service we expect you to provide the following preconditions:

Your hardware is available and reasonably stable.
A serial link is available to connect your controller to a standard PC (via V24, RS232, CAN, LON, Interbus or any. other communication) and you know how to communicate via this link.
A C-compiler is available to compile standard ANSI-C code for your controller.

use an emulator to debug your target, this might require a fourth PC. The better the debugging environment, the better the progress will be.

Result

Typically, after this adaptation your controller will be up and running. Your experts will have gained sufficient knowledge to enable them to understand which problems have not been solved during this adaptation. A document written by infoteam will list accomplished results, open problems and advanced topics needing further discussion.

Required Tools

Please take care to have the following items at hand: one PC to hold the programming system, another PC to hold the target system development environment, both equipped with 3½“ disk drives and CD-ROM drives, access to an outside telephone line, an email facility, a serial line monitor (and a third PC for that if necessary), a printer (may be networked). DCS Network Support

The network variables are a resource global segment that is addressed by %NI or %NO. Network variables are used to exchange data between different PLC’s connected by a network. The addressing and communication mechanisms depend on the network architecture and therefore have to be implemented by the OEM.

In three days, one of our engineers will, in co-operation with your experts:

compile the source code provided by infoteam for your controller hardware, using your C-compiler
establish a communication link between your controller executing the OpenPCS runtime system and a standard PC running the OpenPCS programming tools for IEC 61131–3 (i.e. serial connection or TCP/IP)
modify the runtime system to address your local physical inputs and outputs, and modify OpenPCS hardware description files accordingly, if necessary.
build an OEM driver bundle incl. OEM help
set up an OEM template project
build a specific communication driver
configure an OPC communication
generate and encrypt OEM specific libraries

This service covers only the adaptation of the standard SmartPLC runtime system. Adaptation of available options is not included.
