SummaryThis one day seminar concentrates on manufacturers and users of motion controllers for packaging machines and simple assembling applications. It covers typical single-axis, loosely coupled multi-axis and master/slave applications. The Workshop is based on the Motion Control Profile as published by PLCopen and intended to supplement the international Standard IEC 61131-3.The trainer is an international recognised computer scientist and has been involved in the definition of the motion control profile since 1997. |

IntroductionAt a first look, it seems that IEC languages may not solve motion control needs, since motion control is mainly sequential, whereas the IEC languages are preferable used for cyclic programs. Nevertheless, the workshop demonstrates that function block diagrams provide a rewarding methodology for programming motion controllers. |
